The trade fair duo Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau-Frontale always takes place every two years in Nuremberg and is one of the most important trade fairs for Leitz in the areas of window, door and façade construction as well as woodworking and wood processing alongside the world’s leading trade fair LIGNA in Hanover. Around 75,000 visitors from 112 countries came to Nuremberg this year from 19 to 22 March to find out about the latest technology and manufacturing trends.
Apart from innovations in the field of tool technologies for the furniture and interior design industry or for the window and door production sectors, Leitz also presented its ‘solutions in new dimensions’ in trend areas such as timber system construction. Here Leitz proved that reliable boring in solid timber construction elements is absolutely possible with the help of its innovative HS twist drill XL. The industry leader also surprised the numerous timber construction experts with its brand new HeliCut Monoblock universal tool system for CNC-supported joinery. An innovation that can be used both as a boring tool and as a cutting tool at the same time.
The numerous visitors from the timber construction industry also presented a very positive image for their specific construction sector. The topic of sustainable construction plays an important role here, which is a clear confirmation for those responsible at Leitz of their strategy in this area. Leitz Managing Director Jürgen Köppel was more than satisfied with the trade fair and said: ‘The Holz-Handwerk trade fair is always worth a visit, because we at Leitz have once again set trends here this year and underlined our capabilities in the areas of tools, processes, digitalisation and services.’
A special event this year was once again the visit of the Leitz trainees to the trade fair stand. Together with numerous other Leitz colleagues, they had the opportunity to experience the trade fair and the Leitz stand live and up close. Every year, a special trade fair excursion is organised for Leitz trainees and interested employees from all areas of the company. This gives every Leitz employee the opportunity to experience at first hand how the company presents itself to the international public as an innovation and world market leader.
