With the designation "Leitz - The Precision Tool", the world market and technology leader from Oberkochen presents itself as a proud member of the "Brands of the Century" club. Leitz is thus part of a selected circle of world-famous brands, such as Lufthansa, Märklin, HIPP and many others, whose names symbolise an entire product area. "Brands of the Century" are selected by a jury of experts on behalf of the Zeit-Verlag publishing house from Hamburg. The internationally recognised quality mark is awarded to companies that have been active for decades as trendsetters and pioneers in their respective industries and whose brand is known by a broad public for quality, innovation and style.

The "Brands of the Century" will celebrate their book premiere on 10 February 2022 in Berlin. In a multi-stage selection process, over 1,000 family businesses from all over Germany were evaluated and approved for publication in this book project.
