Job Description

Duties include maintaining and building customer relations within territory, boosting current customer sales, full customer engagement to meet customer satisfaction and standards, and supporting other team members throughout the sales process.

  1. Be professional, customer centric, driven/passionate, goal oriented, and capable of excelling in a rather autonomous management environment.
  2. Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and liaise regularly with other members of the Leitz sales team and colleagues from all departments, including R&D, engineering, purchasing, production, quality control, and senior company managers.
  3. Develops, negotiates and monitors business plans and agreements with OEMs and distribution partners
  4. Commit to the continuous learning of Leitz product line and support services and be able to skillfully articulate Leitz solutions and value to OEM/Distribution partners and their customers.
  5. Serve customers by consultatively guiding them to the most efficient cutting tool solutions for their customers machinery and intended manufacturing processes.
  6. Prepare customer offers by evaluating machine/application details and related customer documents, while consulting with Leitz engineers and other professional and technical personnel.
  7. Determine and promote price value relationship, and investment ROI, by developing accurate cost analysis.
  8. Must be able to comprehend and manage all technical and commercial aspects  of the cooperation. From sales consultation, engineering/development, manufacturing/delivery and implementation to accounting and documentation. 
  9. Plan and organize frequent nationwide travel around customer and prospect visits.
  10. Effectively support customers in person and via all available virtual platforms.
  11. Respond to customer needs quickly and accurately.
  12. Maintain required activity reporting and provide other requested documentation.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • At least two years of field/technical sales, service, or technical support function.
  • Computer software experience including Microsoft Office Products.
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record is mandatory.
  • Ability to read and utilize required measuring equiptment and understand metric system.
  • Knowledge of woodworking processes, machinery and tooling.
