Sizing with hoggers is carried out with either segment hoggers or milling hoggers.

Depending on the specific requirements, the profiling of door sheets is carried out on different machines, such as through-feed systems, stationary machine technology, or table or profile milling machines.

Edge trimming

Edge trimming is about speed and cutting quality coupled with the tool life and the efficiency of the tool system. To meet these requirements, Leitz offers a wide range of diamond-tipped tools with fixed cutting edges (which can be re-sharpened) or exchangeable replaceable insert systems in its standard program. A further enhancement in the superior performance of Leitz tools is the use of the i-System, which ensures efficient chip collection for perfect cutting results.

Profiling

Profile tools in edge processing have a direct effect on the quality of the finished product. Leitz offers a wide range of tools that meet these high-quality requirements. Scrapers

The finishing of the edges using scrapers is the final step in the production of interior doors. They are responsible for that ‘perfect edge’ appearance and have a great influence on the overall aesthetic effect of the door. In addition to conventional scrapers, Leitz also offers specially ground scrapers with anti-white bevels.

Precise bores and cut-outs are required to produce interior doors. These include stepped hinge bores for screw-in hinges, hinge boring, cut-outs for the lock case, spy and lever handle holes as well as borings for glass cut-outs.
