Frequently, the positioning of several tools on a single spindle is implemented by using spacers and the securing is done by a spindle nut. Due to some of the faces not being 100 % square or contaminated, the shaft can become distorted. In addition, resetting to other workpiece dimensions can be very time-consuming. These disadvantages are eliminated by using Leitz Hydro-Duo clamping elements with clamping ring. The hydroclamping centres the tools absolutely play-free with perfect concentricity and balancing quality. The tools can be positioned quickly and accurately on the shaft without disassembly.
